Jungfraujoch, Top of Europe
The famous rail journey up to 3,454 metres: ice palace, high-alpine viewing terraces and the Aletsch Glacier below. A full-day trip from Grindelwald.

Grindelwald First
The cable car from the village climbs to First, home of the Cliff Walk, the First Flyer and First Glider, plus mountain carts and trotti bikes back down in summer.

Bachalpsee
An easy, famous hike from the First station to a still mountain lake that mirrors the peaks. One of the most photographed walks in the Bernese Oberland.

Eiger Trail
A classic alpine walk from Eigergletscher down to Alpiglen, right beneath the Eiger north face. Well marked and doable as a half-day outing.

Glacier Canyon
A narrow gorge carved by glacial water, with walkways and rock galleries. An easy outing from the village, open in summer and lit up in winter.

Winter Sports
In winter the Jungfrau ski region opens up around Grindelwald, with slopes on First and across at Männlichen and Kleine Scheidegg. The village also has sledging runs and winter walking trails.

Pfingstegg
A smaller cable car near the village centre leading to meadows, a toboggan run and calm walks. Good for an easy afternoon.

Village Life
Grindelwald village has shops, bakeries and restaurants along its main street. A relaxed evening stroll after a day in the mountains.
